Where your loan book lives, who can see it, and what happens when things go wrong
A gold loan register holds your customers' KYC and the record of their pledged ornaments. These are the questions you should be asking any vendor, and our answers to them.
Two deployment models — pick on your connection, not on fashion
Cloud
Hosted by us on servers in India. Automatic daily backups, access from any branch or from a phone, nothing to maintain on your side, updates applied for you.
Best when: you have a reliable connection, more than one branch, or you want to see the business from outside the shop.
On-premise
Installed on your own machine or server inside your shop. Runs whether or not the internet is up. Backups configured during installation and verified with your staff.
Best when: your connection is unreliable, or your policy requires the data to stay on your own hardware.
Mixed deployments are possible — a branch with poor connectivity can run on-premise while the rest are on the cloud. We will recommend based on your worst connection, not your best.
Controls
Role-based access
By branch, by screen and by action. Approval limits for high-value loans and interest waivers.
Audit trail
Every entry and amendment recorded with user, timestamp and prior value. Nothing is silently overwritten.
Maker-checker
Available where a second pair of eyes is required before an action takes effect — standard in the NBFC Edition.
Backups
Automatic and retained for cloud. Configured and verified with your staff for on-premise.
Data export
Full export of your own data, on request, in a standard format. Your data is yours.
Vendor assessment
Written answers to your security questionnaire, under NDA if required.
Support — who answers, when, and in what language
Hours: Monday to Saturday, 9:30am to 7:00pm IST.
Channels: phone on +91 81472 70720, WhatsApp, email to admin@finacc.in, and a ticket system at support.finaccsaas.in where you can see the status of anything you have raised.
Languages: Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Telugu and English.
Who answers: people who know the product and this industry, not a scripted first line. If your counter is stuck, say so and it goes to the front of the queue.
Frequently asked questions
Where is our data stored?
For cloud deployments, on servers we operate in India. For on-premise deployments, entirely on your own hardware inside your own premises. Larger customers with a specific hosting policy can tell us where the data must live and we will work to it.
Who owns the data?
You do. It is your customers' records and your loan book. You can request a full export at any time, in a standard format, without asking permission or explaining why.
What happens if we stop paying the annual fee?
The licence is a one-time purchase and remains yours. The annual fee covers support, updates and cloud hosting — if you stop it, on-premise installations keep running and cloud customers get an export of their data. We do not hold a loan book hostage.
How often is data backed up?
Cloud deployments are backed up automatically on a daily cycle with retained history. For on-premise deployments we configure a backup routine as part of installation and show your staff how to verify that it is actually running — an unverified backup is not a backup.
Who inside our business can see what?
Role-based permissions control access by branch, by screen and by action, with approval limits where you want them. Every entry and amendment is recorded with user, timestamp and prior value.
What happens if the internet goes down?
On-premise installations are unaffected. For cloud customers it depends on the outage length and your setup, which is exactly why we ask about your connection before recommending a deployment model rather than after.
Can FinAcc staff see our data?
Only when you ask us to — typically during migration, or when you raise a support ticket about a specific record. Access is on request, not standing.
Do you provide written answers for a vendor assessment?
Yes. NBFCs and larger financiers usually have a security questionnaire; send it over and we will complete it, and sign an NDA first if that is your process.
Send us your security questionnaire.
If you have a formal vendor assessment process, send it across and we will complete it — under NDA if that is your requirement. Or just call and ask the awkward questions directly.
